Paid Credits and advanced settings

Paid Credits are a real-money balance ($1 USD = $1.00 in credits) that unlocks advanced settings for the servers you run. They are completely separate from Voting Credits, which are earned for free by voting and redeem for Pro tier — the two never mix.

Everyone starts at $0.00. You add Paid Credits by purchasing them, and they're spent — at the exact underlying AI cost, with no markup — while your advanced settings are active.

#What Paid Credits unlock

While your balance is above $0.00 and advanced mode is on for a server, you can:

  • Choose the judging model — the AI that makes the final moderation decision (DeepSeek V4 Flash, GPT-5 Mini, Claude Haiku 4.5, or Claude Sonnet 4.6).
  • Choose the screening model — the cheap first-pass filter (GPT-5 Nano, DeepSeek V4 Flash, or Claude Haiku 4.5).
  • Enable extended thinking on the judge (Claude Sonnet 4.6 only) and pick the effort level — low, medium, or high.
  • Set a daily scan cap — the maximum number of messages the bot scans per UTC day, so a raid can't drain your balance.
  • Set the judge's context depth — how many surrounding messages it reads for context.
  • Toggle the second-pass reconsider step for low-confidence flags.

#Buying credits

Top up on the billing page (you must be logged in):

  • Minimum purchase is $5.
  • You're charged the face value plus a 5% service fee and payment processing, and any sales tax your region requires. Your balance is credited the full face value — e.g. $5.00 in credits costs about $5.72.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your card details.
Credits You pay (approx., before tax)
$5.00 $5.72
$10.00 $11.12
$25.00 $27.34
$50.00 $54.38

#How spending works

Advanced settings are configured on the website dashboard by a server admin, who becomes the server's funder. While advanced mode is active on that server:

  • Every AI call's raw provider cost is deducted from the funder's Paid Credits — pass-through, no markup (your 5% is taken once, at purchase).
  • The operator's normal per-tier daily budget cap doesn't apply, because you're funding your own usage.

#What happens at $0.00

When a funder's balance reaches $0.00, that server's advanced settings automatically revert to the account's tier (Free, Pro, or Premium). Nothing is lost — your chosen settings are saved and re-activate the moment you top up again.

#Low-balance alerts

By default, the bot sends you a one-time Discord DM when your balance is getting close to $0 so nothing reverts by surprise. The alert re-arms after each top-up. You can turn it off (or back on) on the billing page.

#Managing advanced settings

Advanced settings are managed only on the website dashboard — open a server from your dashboard and use the Advanced settings card. In Discord, /advanced shows what's currently in effect and what it's costing, and /balance shows your Paid Credits balance, but changes are made on the site.
